HP Mini 1000 Hacked Into Tablet

User timm.mccoy of MyHPMini.com has ripped the screen apart from his HP Mini 1000, turned it around and slammed it onto the base where he removed the keyboard and touchpad. It currently doesn’t have touchscreen capabilities because he is awaiting a 10.2″ resistive touchscreen kit, widely available at eBay and MyDigitalDiscount.com. Running on Windows 7, it currently has a dangling web cam while the speakers are neatly tucked in between the screen and the lid. He also plans to add integrated Bluetooth which should make for a quick transition between a tablet/desktop.
This is not the first netbook-to-tablet hack. In fact, over at MyDigitalDiscount.com, there are several tablets modification kits offered for Asus and Acer also. Here is an Asus Eee PC 701 tablet (with a cracked screen).
